Herbal Skin Restore

Our Story

After living with eczema- and dermatitis-prone skin for more than 20 years, I know the frustration of trying product after product, never knowing whether something would feel right for my skin from one day to the next.

Inspired by Ben Cao Gang Mu

Years of searching eventually led me to a traditional herbal formula passed down through a family rooted in Chinese herbal practice. The philosophy behind the formula draws inspiration from the botanical wisdom recorded in the Compendium of Materia Medica (Ben Cao Gang Mu).

My skin never seemed to follow a predictable schedule. Stress, emotions, changes in routine, and everyday life could all affect how it felt. I realized I wasn't simply looking for another product — I was looking for a simple care system that could become part of life with skin that is prone to dryness, itching, eczema, and dermatitis.

That kind of support mattered to me at every stage of life — from my earliest childhood, through my twenties, to those 2 a.m. nights when I found myself caught in another frustrating itch-and-scratch cycle.

That personal journey became the beginning of Herbal Skin Restore.

Today, we hope to share what we discovered along the way and support others facing similar skin challenges in finding a simpler, gentler approach to everyday care — one they can feel comfortable making part of their routine.

Traditional Herbal Inspiration. Gentle Modern Care.

Rather than recreating an ancient remedy, we take inspiration from traditional Chinese herbal philosophy and bring it into modern personal care — beginning with a simple cleansing and moisturizing routine, and continuing toward a broader collection of herbal-inspired everyday care.
